The Banff Centre

The Banff Centre is a WIDC co-creator and presenting partner. The workshop takes place on The Centre's campus that includes a variety of facilities and a highly skilled and dedicated staff.



The Alliance of Canadian Cinema Radio and Television Artists (ACTRA) is a WIDC co-creator and presenting partner. ACTRA members from across the country apply each year for the Acting Ensemble.

Women In Film and Television Vancouver (WIFT-V)WIFT-V is one of the original WIDC co-creating organizations. WIFT-V has provided bursaries for their members to attend the WIDC program in Banff. WIFTV has also from time to time, provided a presentation venue for the WIDC Feature Film Award, through their annual Vancouver International Women In Film Festival.  Between 2008 and 2012, WIFT-V collaborated in the presentation of the WIDC Career Advancement Module (CAM) which was delivered during their IWFF.

BANFF WIDC Fellowship

In partnership with CWWA, BANFF has supported an annual fellowship valued at $7,500 for a WIDC alumna to attend the BANFF World Media Festival, plus coaching towards successful festival networking, identifying career goals and project pitching, through CWWA.  This fellowship has been dormant since 2012.  Please send an email enquiry if you are interested in this opportunity.
